Home
The night had come, clearing through,
Swooped down on her, to engulf her too....
He held her close to Him, din't let go of her,
Just be with me, He whispered in her ear......
Together we will reach the end of this darkness,
He kept assuring her, in futility....
She feared not the night but the hand that nestled,
Might drop her & be swallowed by the black too....
He begged, He pleaded, raved & ranted,
To no avail, she searched everywhere for solace.....
She knew, His embrace was her Home,
She longed to drown her fears in His warmth....
Escape, run, hide.... she was bewildered of these,
Nothing calmed her demons raging inside....
Then it happened.....
Furious winds, blazing gales, raving torrents all of them,
Held back for Eons,
All flowed out in a destructive storm....
It took away her fears, cleansed her of them,
But it also washed away her Home - His embrace.....
She stands alone & faces the first light of the dawn,
Believing in her depth, that one day she too will reach her Home.
